2g maf on 1g Question

I have a 2g maf that Im going to put on my 90 gsx, but I just heard somewhere that you NEED a safc to run one on a 1g. I was under the impression that you could run one without but maybe Im just an idiot. Anyone know if it can be done without or is anyone running a 2g maf on a 1g. If it just runs lean with no afc can i just put in a walbrow 255 to help? Let me know if anyone is running this setup, or anyone knows if this is ok.

The idea when adding a 2g mas is to install bigger injectors for the extra air you will be getting. If you put the 2g mas on now bigger injectors you WILL run SUPER lean.
So to answer your question you will need a safc, bigger injectors and logger

The 255 wont help. If you put that big of a pump on you will need a afpr. The 190 can support 400whp

When ever you mess with the fuel or air, its always a good idea to get something to tune/monitor with.

I would have never played on an safc without having a logger.

Yeah listen to kgtalon95.
I installed my 550cc and 2g mas today and didnt know to -or+ fuel.
Logger is next on the list
