2g maf in 1g question

Sorry I have searched! So i have seen the adapters to go from the 1g plug to the 2g maf,but instead I have just a 2g maf plug with cut wires. The diagrams I have been looking at show:

2G
Red/black ----------Green/Orange
Blue----------------Green/white
Black--------------Green/black
Pink---------------Green/yellow
Green/red--------green/red
White/black------green/blue
Red---------------red

Now I just cut off the 1g plug and solder accordingly from the 2g plug wires to the 1g plug wires?

Vfaq has the color diagram too and its what I used to make life easier. I'm crap at soldering and didnt want to go crazy with splice caps so I went to radio shack and picked up a 7 wire adaptor
