2g lifters in a 1g head??

Will 2g lifters fit right into a 1g head? I am tires of hearing the loud lifer tap and have a 2g long block I can tear apart to use the lifters if possible. If anybody know if this will work, please advise.

Sure they will, but what you want to alleviate lifter tick are the revised or 3rd gen lifters. Barring that, try some Restore on your current setup before pulling your existing lifters out. If you decide to use the 2nd gen lifters, make sure that you clean them, fill them with fresh oil and then pump out the excess before installing them. Failure to bleed them down will result in busted valves.
