2g intake pipe with no mas

a freind of mine is going to a blowthrough setup, and he wants to know if there are any filters that will fit directly onto his hard intake pipe for a 2g mas. Forced Performance says that a filter with a 4 inch inlet will fit over the mas end of their 4 inch pipe, but is the mas end of their huge intake pipe the same as the mas end of other intake pipes for 2gs.

I kinda cheated.

I took an old KN filter and cut the black rubber base off it. and used a pipe clamp to secure the filter element to the intake pipe. kinda ghetto but works.

I had a Injen Intake pipe, and it worked perfect, here is a pic

thought not the best solution its quick and easy. and cheaper

your in luck becuase that is exactly what i have done, i first bought a 2g intake thinking that it was the same for the 1g(this is when i first bought my car and new nothing). ofcourse i found out that it would not work but i had a 4" filter from my dodge neon intake, and that fit right on. because the top part of the intake is 4". the filter kind of looks weird on there, but it works for my small but powerful 14b.
