2G intake on 1G

Any improvement using a 2G intake on a 1G motor? Or I might as well stick with the
first gen. mani. Anyone?

The 1G mani is better don't switch it.

most people with 2g's will bolt on a 1g intake manifold sooo i would stick with what you have people have ran ten's witht he stock intake mani and throtle body

What's the benefit of a sheet metal intake? Weight savings?

don't you lose a little bottom end with the sheet metal manifold?

you can end up with a little worse botom end with a large intake manifold but for heavly modified car's they add alot of power but if you have a 1g then stick with the mani on it and if your a 2g find a 1g intake manifold and throtle body and slap it on, i love mine I don't think you should start looking for a sheet metal manifold until you have a 50 trim or larger on your car then start thinking about it

Ok looks like I'll stick with the 1G manifold for now. I am puting a 50trim from sbr on in a couple of weeks but I'm also out of money. So I'll have to wait for the sheet metal intake. Thanks

yeah i would even save for a while and build the head and engine before you put on the mani...if you don't wait you are going to have good gain's so it's not a waist of money but like i said there are people on here...check the member of the month....running tens on the stock intake manifold and throtle body so you could spend money on other weaker parts and then get the manifold when its really worth it
