Resolved 2G How do you remove the center vent piece?

I'm taking all my inerior pieces out of my car and painting them a different color. the only one I can't figure out how to take out is this:

u mean noone on here knows how?! WTF, there are so many of you that have painted ur interiors and yet noone knows how?

Stick a screwdriver in and gently pry it out.

Use a flathead, it pops right out.

good grief thats not my car, I don't have a digi camera to take phots with so I just found some smucks car and used it as a reference. The center vents and stuff I'm painting a metalic/chrome look and the others black.

Also, do I have to remove the airbypass to pop it out, or is mine ok?

Well, that's some relief. Yes, you need to unhook that wire to get it out. Not really a big deal, easier than a stereo swap.
