Does the 3" catback shoot over the suspension, or am I missing something?

Regardless, I have to send it back because thanks to fedex there is a huge ####ing dent in the axleback. Sigh.

Edit: Could the dent be because it's designed to go over the suspension? Anyone know?
 
My 3 inch goes under the rear suspension, but the stock system had a bent in the hump part to allow to go over suspension. Yours might be dented to cram over the suspension for better ground clearance, but that sucks for performance.
 
My 3" jets underneath the suspension. I havent seen an aftermarket exhaust that goes above?
 
Mine goes over and had that "huge dent" I called to send it back and they verified that is the way it should be, once you get it up in there youll see why its there. Its smooth and flat, about 3 inches wide. I cant see how it will kill performance on a 3" system and Ive been running it almost a year.

You don't see how denting a 3 inch pipe thus making the air flowing through compress to fit through a tighter space would hurt performance?
 
Right now I have a custom 3" exhaust that goes over the axle but it has the mentioned dent as well. Is it possible to purchase just an axle back that goes under the exhaust or would I have better luck buying some bends and having a local muffler shop weld it up for me?

Its not really a dent, its more of a smoothed out spot. There arent any jagged bends or anything. You'd have to see it, its not that bad. Im sure if they tested it you may notice a small difference in performance on a monster turbo, but for most of us it works good.
 
I'm more worried about the neckdown to 2.5" at the cat then that little dent :p I'll have an exhaust shop fix that soon though.
 
Could someone take a picture of it? Up until now it was to my understanding that all 3" exhausts for 2G FWD's went under the rear subframe.

When I get home I'll bolt it all together on the floor and take some pictures of it. Most of the welds look quite nice, a few of them are a little messy but still not bad at all.

I have pictures(albeit not bolted together), I haven't resized them yet. I'll post them later after I have my neckdowns fixed.
