1999 spyder gs. After scouring the forum and parts store websites I cannot find anyone selling lower ball joints for the lower control arm and the lateral arm. I am doing all aftermarket bushings and adjustable upper ball joints but the lower ones seem to not exist as a part you can buy. Does anyone have a part# for them? Size? Are they the same as the uppers? Am I just sol and need to buy the whole control arms? I'm taking the suspension apart tonight so I will update this thread if I find any information on them.

IIRC, on 2Gs, those lower ball joints are not available separately from the arms.
That's what I'm finding out. Altho looking at them, I don't see a reason one can't press them out and press new ones in, so I'm thinking there's gotta be a balljoint out there that matches the same specs. Once I get around to pressing the old ones out I'll have to see what I can find and update this thread.

they are made as part of the metal design, you cannot press the jount out because there is NO joint to come out. its not a contained unit! the ball is separate, the upper ball race is apart of the actual arm by design!

listen to the people telling you its not possible and just buy new arms before you cause yourself an accident by going all hillbilly on it! arms are replacement parts vs the 1G.
ALL 2G arms don't feature replaceable joints APART from the upper front arm which CAN be replaced and is the ONLY one that's possible

Okay it seems you are (probably obviously) right. This makes sense why no one has developed a part. So what do you recommend for lower control arms?

just use a good brand vs cheaper brand. so moog is one. oem of course but are expensive but good quality, you got delphi which is also somewhat decent.
