I've got the 32mm nut out, and my rotor and caliper out of the way. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial with photos on what to remove next? I know you use a pry bar to remove the axel from the tranny at the end. But after the rotor and caliper is out of the way do you unbolt from the upper control arm? Is the tire rod necessary to be removed? Or can I just remove the bolts from the strut and wiggle the axle out from the side?

You could have left the caliper and rotor on. I just pulled both my axles couple weeks ago and the easiest way is to unbolt the 17mm bolt going through the shock fork connected to the lower lateral arm. Then unbolt the 22mm nut that goes to the ball joint on the lower lateral arm. You can now swing the whole suspension towards the rear of the vehicle and pull the axle out of the hub. It's sorta hard if your axle splines are rusty but you can hammer it out with a rubber mallet at first or whatever, just dnt mushroom the end of your axle with a harder metal. Remember to have the steering wheel unlocked so you can swing the suspension out. Good luck
