Hey, I searched a bit, but didn't come up with much.

What all is required to swap a 2G engine into a 1G AWD chassis?

Don't lecture me on crankwalk, either. I'm simply asking what is needed :p

^^ Why, exactly, would that be? Anyone have any ideas on this?

I don't see it as being impossible, because people that get engines replaced at the dealer get the newer 7-bolts thrown in, correct?

You just keep the CAS from the 1G and use it instead of the two (cam angle, and crank angle sensors) on the 95-96 motors. I beleive there is some head work need on the head from that year to make it work. Plus you have an issue w/ the intake cam seeing it is needed to fit into the CAS. And if you get a 97-99 motor, just interchange the sensors.
