I have looked into alot of this... i want to be driving a manual instead of my automatic.
I like my awd but they are hard to find without paying an arm and a leg for them.
I would like to know if it would be cheaper just to swap the engine into a car with a 5speed rather than converting mine. I like the 2g look more than my 1g. Would the 4g63 bold up to a 2g tranny ? also how much boost would it be safe to run on a nonturbo tranny?

you can swap a 1g turbo into a 2g turbo and the trannys will bolt right up. i don't get what your asking here though...are you putting a 1g turbo motor on a 2gnt tranny in a 2g car?? or putting a 1g motor on a 1gnt tranny in a 2g car?

It would be much easier to find a manual and swap the engine instead of converting your automatic to a manual. You can find a DSM with a blown engine pretty cheap. Just research it.

you can't put a turbo motor in a 2g n/a without alot of MAJOR work! it can be done but by the time you did it you probaly could have bought 2 5sd awds!

why not buy a 2g turbo shell?? or the whole car for that matter? your gonna need the whole engine harness and a bunch of other things that would probably have to be either welded or fabbed up! totally not worth it!
