haha @dustyboner , why not just do an old helicopter turbine?

is your 99 originally a 420a? if so the popular swaps are 3g/evo style motors. depending on what you want to do with it, theres alot of variables.

wanna be a lil different? RWD/longitudinal convert it and use a 3g block, since theyre more plentiful, newer tech, and better cylinder head. read up on the G4JS cylinder head, it works with the 3g 2.4 4g64 blocks well, and you can use pretty much any evo/dsm hardware you want.

Or you can be like everyone else and drop in a 4g63 and put a fat BOV and smooth wastegate system. :p:p:p

this requires for more fabrication than its worth on a 420a chassis, especially when its a completely clean slate.

RWD conversions are a ton of work too, but it's not up to us I guess.
True. But it's weighing out the work-to-benefits ratio, and depending on what you want. Personally I'd rather do a red build with a completely blank slate than go through the trouble of frame rail swapping for a standard 4g FWD/AWD with the inherent limitations.
