Swapping out my coil overs for a a factory strut assembly, this looks like too much distance between the bolt through. Am I suppose to force the strut that much of a distance? I bought them off eBay from a GST, but it’s like a 2” difference in length

Removed sway bar and it dropped instantly putting a socket on the control arm bolt. Whew that only took me 3 hours for one side

You'll note that the post is tapered and so is the shock mount. If you put it on backward it won't go all the way on.
