What kind of data logger can i get for my dsm that is not dsmlink, I can not currently afford dsmlink and i want to log my knock. Thanks.

You have a 1998 car. You can buy from EvoScan a cable that will log faster than any 2g logger out there AND will log an actual knock sum and injector dutycycle that all other 2g loggers won't, except for ecmlink.

ALSO that same cable will allow you to actually reflash your ecu like ecmlink and 1g eprom setups using ECUFlash.

Many also use Pocketlogger with great success.

digital tuning, inc.

Next time use the search button. This has been covered quite a bit.

i did search but all i could find was 1g stuff

The 98-99s can only be Flashed with the ~$180 OpenPort 2.0 cable. The cheaper cables can only log.

A MUT3 logger like EvoScan is definitively the way to go with a 97+.
You will have sample rates around 190 samples/second and can log Knock, Inj Duty, etc.

A OBD2 logger like PocketLogger is limited to about 10 samples/second and can't log Knock. etc.
(PocketLogger has discontinued their 2G setup.)

does anyone know how they got the program to run on the flip out monitor in the picture on EvoScan website?
