OK, first and foremost, DO NOT reply if you don't know WTF you are talking about. I'm tired of reading for hours on end to find the smallest little bit of info because some idiot replying with "I guess, IMO, I heard, Shep does this, Magnus does that" or simply not knowing anything about anything wasting space. If you can't answer my question DO NOT post.

OK, not being an a$$h*le anymore, I have a 95 Tsi AWD with out much done to it,yet, and just burnt my ACT 2600 with the street disc, no springs popping out, just too many hard launches ;) I also used the ACT throw out bearing and didn't notice any ill effects (binding, noise) except for a ring it wore in my pressure plate. I'm about to install a Fidanza 8-pound aluminum flywheel, (I've already got the A/T spacer plate and longer bolts) Clutchnet's 6-puck sprung hub disc and a Competition Clutch 2,500 pressure plate. I will be re-using the stock release fork and pivot ball with a new OEM throw-out.

My question is: Is anyone running a set-up similar to this and if so what if any problems did you run into after installation (engagement/dis-engagement issues, noise/chatter, adjustment problems)? Do I need to shim the pivot ball or make any modifications to the master cylinder for proper operation?

I appologize for being an a$$ earlier but it's hard to find any straight info on here because of all the dumb $hit, so any input from mits techs, guru's or wiseman would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, again, sorry for being an a$$, but there's got to be someone with this set-up and I've read about a lot of problems with other set-ups so I figured that there would be some quirks with mine as well. Talk about a run-on sentence. Anybody?

Ah you burnt up a 2600 with no major mods? You my friend need to stop launching at every stopsign and stoplight or you are going to break something expensive.

I dont know about using a 6puck setup and I wouldnt really suggest it for a daily driver as puck plates tend to chatter.

My current setup is a Fidanza AL and a Clutch Masters DF clutch pack, in conjunction with these I used a stock Mitsu TO bearing and a Billet fork from Taboo.

I found that I had to shim the pivot ball with a 1.5mm shim as I was only at about 70% throw when the fork was hitting the case due to the Fidanza FW not being as thick as the stock setup.

The longer flywheel bolts are a good idea, I would suggest using some blue thread lock on those badboys also.

The ring ground into the PP fingers is due to the bearing riding on the PP which it should NOT do as this will kill the TO bearing.

I've put a washer behind the pivot ball already with the tranny still out and noticed that the fork doesn't have to move as much for for travel, so that should help with some of the problems others are claiming to have with aftermarket clutch set-ups. You said the ridge worn into the p.p. was from the t.o.b. riding on it, that's the only thing that made sense to me as well, but why would it? If I adjusted the pedal so that it had clearance the disc wouldn't completely disengage though.
The ACT was only 6 or 7 mos. old with aprox. 20K hard miles. AWD/jet fighter launches sure are addictive. That's how I upgrade-drive it hard until it breaks and then make it better, j/k.
