2g CAS

have a set of 1g cams in my 2g head. they are super clean and the 2g cams arent. the 2g cam has the cas built into the intake cam. how would i go about swapping it over to a 1g cas?

Just put on the 1g CAS that all you have to do. Is this going in a 1g or 2g?

Just tap your intake cam for the cas bolt and run a 2G cas.

i dont really want to tap the intake cam but if i have to i will... is there any ways that i can simply splice the wires for the stock cas and wire in the 1g cas?

Wait I just re-read your OP. You can use your current 1g cas no problem with those 1g cams into the 2g head assuming your car is the '92 in your profile.

Unless this question is for a different 97-99 dsm?

You can run the 1G CAS, you just need to get the harness RRE sells. I think it's like $70. I am running the same thing in my 95 GSX. The harness is nice and clean looking. It plugs into the 1G CAS and the 2G crank sensor and will work great.

You can get the 1g in a 2g cas harness from JNZ for 49.00. That where I got mines at or wire it up yourself.

Looks to me like you need to clip the harness off a 1g and then trace your cam angle and crank sensor wire down and then wire it up like it shows. According to the rre link your 1g cas will do away with the need for the crank sensor if I read it correctly.
