I know this is a common problem, but my 2g just started griding. Back info: One of the shifter bushing is missing and the shifter knob was loose. Would this cause or help cause the trans to start grinding during a shift?
Are my syncros completely worn?
More back info:
My car is a 2g GSX and the trans has about 100k with a rebuilt motor. I'll admit that I haven't changed the gear oil and I have had it for about 15k miles now. I dont know when the last owner changed the oil.
I ordered the shifter bushing and changed the gear oil. Will this problem magically go away.. What do you guys think. Any help is appreciated thank you.

I used redline mt90 oil to see if it would help. It didn't so I had to get a new trans all together. Ended up selling the car two weeks after the new trans for a 1g. Oh well.. BUt yeah my syncros were bad. It got worse very quickly after the first time it started grinding..
