Hello

Turns out my old exhaust I had which I believe is an HKs (came with the car) has a hole in it. I purchased an RTM exhaust on the weekend and went to instal it this afternoon but noticed the hangers are completely different. Do I have the wrong exhaust as I don’t have a hanger in my car that works with the one at the muffler section. Also the bends seem to be different which I guess would be somewhere normal with different manufactures.

This hanger here has a connection point through it. Not sure if anyone has a photo of there last hanger on the car. One that came with my talon isn’t setup like that so wondering if that was potentially changed at one point

That exact mount is not present on all brands of exhaust. It is however a factory hanger for the factory exhaust style.

The hks cat back I’ve used has provisions for that mount.

The srs I currently run has no provisions for that one.

Seems the cheaper exhaust don’t and the higher priced/name brand ones do from what I’ve seen.

The exhaust with the mount with the thread hole is closer to the way factory has them.

If you were to use a bolt through the new exhaust at the mount you circled would they line up?

Seems the hangers on the new exhaust may have one welded on incorrectly too hard to tell in the first pics. May be from the new one having a harder bend than the old.

The mount I have in the rear doesn’t have a connection that would work with the new exhaust. The old one fits no problem, do you have a photo of your rear mount or does anyone. Curious to see how it compares to what I have on the car. Original owner may have switched the mount, car is a 95 talon tsi(not sure if that matters)
