2g awd and fwd passenger axle, the same?

everything i found was about 1g's not much about 2g's...

so my passanger side axle boot ripped on my 96 tsi fwd but i have freshly rebuilt axles for my 95 gsx, so i was hoping i could just swap it in.

will it fit???

Lol. I stand corrected. You will need to switch cups on the transmission. Different part numbers.
