I looked through the forums abd did not see an answer I needed. I have a 2g gsx and its an auto. I would like to know what other auto owners are using for short route intercooler? I looked at vrsf and I was told it wont work because of the trans cooler lines. So is there a different option or would an ebay piping kit be my best bet and just mock up something? I hate to ask thins but I need help. Thank you

The VRSF kit does fit with auto. I have 98 Auto TSI AWD with VRSF kit. I run the stock cooler and an aftermarket cooler. The lines are close but everything can be bent slightly to clear.

Ok. Im using an aftermarket trans mounted in between the radiator and Intercooler I have now (greddy long route). I was contemplating on bending the dip stick tube and maybe finding some pre formed lines for the trans cooler. Thank you for the fast answers

I have the ETS FMIC and piping and it didnt fit well at all with the automatic. I do not recommend it. I bought the VRSF piping kit and installed it and it fit a lot better. I did have to bend the dipstick a little bit.

VRSF will work fine, just need to move the dipstick a bit.

None of the kits work that great with an auto, and they'll all require you to bend the dipstick. I have the punishment racing kit and the hotside piping will clear the transmission cooler fine, although I do have mine relocated to the stock intercooler spot.
The easiest way to make the coldside piping fit is to buy an extra 45 degree coupler and attach that to the intercooler, and cut both ends off the elbow pipe so it's smaller. I also have the big piece of piping that the bov flange is on cut with a straight coupler connecting is so the bov isn't sideways.
Basically you need to get rid of about 8 inches of piping or it'll hit the transmission pan

I had the VRSF kit on my old 2g Awd auto. Bent the trans dip stick a little fit fine. I also relocated and upgraded my trans cooler at the same time. I had it mounted where the stock smic was.
