im doing a 1000+hp build on my 2g auto dsm currently i need some piston advice on what to choose i need a strong piston that will last long, also should i go .20 over on block?

my current parts that i own,

howard i beam rods stock stroke 22mil wrist pin holes,
eagle crank,
acl race bearings,
2150cc hi-z fic
dual 450 walbro,
ported and polished head +1 over sized valves
smim venom, will be changing for a magnus,
arp l19 studs,
mls gasket,
borgwarner s400 turbo,
stock bore or .20 over, not sure <help
built tran, t-case, drive shaft, torque converter

stated above i need to know what pistons i should run, and please any and all help will be appreciated,
plus if i should change any parts for my build let me know motor is not built yet, all parts are on my shelf, i will be running e85 for this build with 2 tunes a low psi and a high psi for the track and low for the street, and DON'T troll this post with any form or hate or neglect im doing this build all on my own with some help from different shops, all information and researching im doing on my own! But there are a lot of threads that are not right to the point, a mix of info, so this thread will now be out there for people to read and learn how to build a 1000hp 2g auto dsm, since there is not 1 i can find

What is your setup in the head currently? You'll need some pretty serious head work for the power goal obviously. I'd definitely recommend some Kiggly valve springs and a HLA.

yea i have kiggly springs no hla yet i still gotta get one 5 angle valve job, port match and polish, ss valves, 3g lifters revised, oil port mod, viton stem sealss, cbn deck... this should hold to my goal if you think otherwise i can still change some items but i dont have cams yet what do you think i should run? kelford 280s? or 272s? other brands?

the BW s400 says its good for 1000+ it runs 1.0 air flow, what you meen max out the 6466? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Borg-Warner...ash=item3cfa6e0d74:g:pQAAAOSweW5VYQa5&vxp=mtr
6466 is good for 900 and thats what i have, so i was just saying with similar goals. Those were the pistons I'd choose. My motor is gonna be bulletproof for over 1k. You are definately looking at a 280 or larger cam a 72mm turbo in a 1.32AR should start making power in the 7k -7500rpm+ band so make sure you have the work and parts done to support that rev limit, if I'd imagine you are looking at a 10k or more rev limit. For which case I'd look at the lightest internals you can get that will support the power. (Aluminum rods)

yea i was thinking of using an aluminum rod, i was gonna go with the magnus rods but i has hearing a lot of you cant daily them, oh yes you can, no you cant blah blah blah, so i went steel for now, and what rank cams

I've seen lots of really good things about the Power Division GSC S3 Cams.

Lets face it, no one is going to be daily driving a dsm that is 1000whp. Maybe here and there on the weekends. But usually 1k horsepower motors require a filled block to some extent also.

you are right but im doing a low boost tune then also doing a high boost tune one for the street here and there and the other for the track im shooting for 1000, its my goal but if i cant im going to try to get very close

Just saying people seem to use the term "daily driver" loosely around here lately. And 1000whp and daily driver should not ever be in the same sentence LOL.

Only bore if you have to.. You won't see any benefits in power from a .020 or .040 bore, just makes the walls thinner. And like i said pistons: wiseco, manley, ross. In no particular order. Magnus's pistons are custom ross's for what it's worth.

okay thanks a bunch your info is helpful i think im gonna go with the ross ive herd good things about them and im gonna keep the stock bore then so now its time to order and yea i know 1000hp and dail shouldent be in the same sentence im shooting really for like 800 track with 550-650 daily now as far as cams i think im gonna go with the 280s what are your thoughts on that duration over the 288s
