2g 14B conversion

I saw someone selling a 14B that they said bolted up to a 2g without a j pipe. They said it was converted using the TRE kit. Anyone know where i can find this kit?

Nope, you definately need the j-pipe. Unless they are complete idots and had TRE flip the compressor housing, weld on a 90 degree elbow, make and weld on a new wastegate actuator bolt hole and spent around $200 on that setup....but I know TRE does do that.....but on a 14B? Please.

Yep flipped housing with elbow on it. I will work, just a question of how much does he want and is it worth it?

well im gonna probably buy it just wanted some opinions on ,any problems, concerns, what else is needed for install or just a direct bolt up.

Someone bent the wastegate rod all to hell. The turbine housing is not original, we would reposition the wastegate arm and TIG weld it on so it would work correctly. Other than that the turbo bolts right on without any problems and it'll look stock enough to take the car into the dealer without worry of them noticing the turbo. I sold a couple hundred big 16g's with this mod to the 2G owners when I did turbos. They seemed to like it.

one more question if i bought a 16g down the road can i use whats on this to make it bolt up?

You will have to put another wastegate actuator on there because the one in the photo is FUBAR'D.

Also you will need to grind the weld off where the wastegate arm attaches to the shaft and reposition it. Keep the arm/rod close to 90* so it'll hold boost properly without any funky boost BS.

Take care of those 2 things and it'll work fine.
