255/45/17 on stock 17" gsx rims?

it will fit but it wont work well. The stock GSX rims is 17x6.5 i would NOT go bigger than a 235/40/17 a 255 is too much tire for a 6.5" rim

i can kinda see what your saying, but it "wont work well" means that i'll rub or it wont look that good?...im just wondering if it would cause any harm to anything using that wide of tire

it will bulge out too much and will make ur handling go down the drain. My friend has 225/50/16 yoko AVS ES100 on his GST 16x6 and the turn in is HORRIBLE compared to my 205/55/16 yoko AVS ES100. I cant even imagine how bad the handling is going to be it is just too much tire for that small roim. Just get some 235/40/17 that is already 20mm bigger than stock

alright...i was jw cuz i can get a set that size for cheap locally...i was just hoping that it would work...o well...

Those tires are a full inch taller than the stock tires on your car, and would bulge horribly on a 6.5" wide wheel. An 8-9" wheel would be much better suited to some 255's.

I have 235s on a 7.5" wheel and they fit perfectly like | | .

Puting the same tire on a 6.5" wheel would also cause alot of tire roll.
