215-50-17 or 215-45-17? 17x7 38 offset

so i dont know much bout tires, and well I bought some rims 17x7 with a 38 offset. I went to tirerack and some other tire website, tirerack recommended 215-50-17 and the other 215-45-17, which would be a better fit? or if you have any other recommendations on a tire size please do share. Sry for posting it here, it wouldnt let me post under the tire request thread in the handling section. thanks.

the 45's will just be a lower profile tire than the 50's. I've got 205/45/16 on my Laser and it clears just fine.
