No real reason. Just pushed a little water and it was steaming. They were basically either checking to make sure he and the car were alright(over six miles from the start line and the pits) or to see what the car had to make it go 213mph. Even out there where all kinds of things haul ass, people have to stop and take a look to see what it is that makes a turd like the Talon sound like it does and go as fast as it does.

Basically they have to see it to believe it. We generally throw the hood up after every run to make sure everything is ok and is not going to catch fire. That and just get a general look. Five miles straight wide open will put a hurting on a car.

No idea what an AMG is. Mercedes maybe.

And yes, bring any car to the salt, and see how many five mile runs you get before something goes wrong. There is no getting around it, everyone has problems out there. That is why we race for a week. So we can have enough time to work on the cars.

It is a modified FWD transmission. It has a 4th gear from a galant and a 5th gear from a stock AWD. We have two Evo III 5th gears, but have not used them yet as we still need to max out the gear we have.
