20g?

Looks to definately be a 20g compressor cover. I can't tell if it is a 20g compressor wheel or not. Maybe Justin will chime in on this thread and say for sure or not. It looks to me though that it has been machined out for a larger wheel?

Not a 20G compressor wheel- some sort of Garrett compressor for sure....appears to be a 50-trim compressor by the pics.

The rebuild kit you'd need for this turbo would be the same as a 14B. All Mitsu turbos that have been converted to Garrett compressors have had the compressor backplate machined flat so the contour of the cover would be the same (Mitsu and Garrett super-backed wheels have a different contour and the Garrett backplate must be machined flat in order to achieve proper tolerance).

I called it. You basically have a homemade FP Green depending on what the turbine spec is.

The compressor is probably cut into a flat-backed wheel so you'd likely need a 14B parts kit for a rebuild.

haha ya man nice call, turbine is the same as my 14b. and it looks like the compressor wheel hit the housing but the compressor housing looks scratch free.. and the word is cherry turbos from st thomas ontario built this turbo.

If the turbine wheel is the same, someone spent a lot of money shoving a 50-trim wheel into this turbo for nothing. A TD05H turbine will never support enough flow to allow a 50-trim compressor to get anywhere near it's potential....at least not in your standard 7cm DSM bolt-on turbine housing.

ok thanks, should i maybe source out the proper guts for this thing and "upgrade" to a larger mitsu turbine housing? 8 cm, or 10cm or the 12cm? . since i would like to stay with the 20g
