I had occasion to buy volumes 1 & 2 of the 2000 Ford Focus Workshop Manual. They seem to leave a lot to be desired in all respects! What do you think? Which is better: Chiltons or Haynes? Are either of these worth buying? I want to know simple stuff, e.g., how to remove the manual shift boot and/or the shift lever cover, how to remove the parking brake boot, how to replace a headlight assembly that has "cataracts', or how to replace a license plate light bulb; I also wanted to know about OBDII codes, etc.

i'm sure all of this is on the internet, no need to buy anything. joining the proper car community could also be helpful, we don't do focii here.
