Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could get 97 GST Spyder manuals cheap. I've seen manuals condensed onto cdroms on ebay and was also wondering if they can be trusted.

Yep, spend $5 on the CD off of eBay and be done with it. They have almost all the shop manuals and factory repair manuals as well as the Mitsubishi Parts computer system so you get get part numbers for anything. Good buy.

The Haynes and Chilton's books are OK, but a factory service manual is better.
i got mine off ebay. 30$ shipped for a 97 talon awd book. the talon ones seem to be cheaper, i have seen eclipse book as much a 70$! you are just going to have to keep looking around if you want one. i just checked ebay right now and didn't see any. you must have Patience.

CD's okay to have, but unless you have a computer/laptop right there next to you when you're working on the car, it's nice to have the actual book.

Yea, I've got a 'garage computer' set-up by my tool chest just for that purpose. I also rigged it up to wireless internet so I can log on to Tuners and get pertinant info when I break something.

I guess if you don't have a laptop or some other computer that you could readily get to, a physical shop manual could suffice.

Talon/Laser manuals go for a song, yet Eclipse manuals still pull nearly full-price. Which sucks if you need drophead information..... which there isn't all that much of in the Spyder manuals anyway.
Just focus on whether you get 1G or 2G. The Talon/Eclipse distinction is minor.
