hey well i'm really new with dsm and tubos i just got mine about 2 or3 weeks ago 96 gst with a 1st gen 14b turbo. everything elses was stock. i did a few minor mods full 3 inch exhaust, greddy type s bov , upper inter cooler pipiing ,intake ,polyurathane motor mounts ,greddy turbo timer, and a manual boost controller(30" front mount to be installed soon). and my car doesnt have a rev limiter neither. everything elses is stock to my knowledge.would it be safe to turn the boost up to 20psi or a little higher?? i know when i did try it my fule cut off came in in second gear when i was tring to hold those 20 psi. i was thinkning of running 2 injectors to the front of the itake and turn them on when i'm boosting that much so the ecu wont cut me off.would this be safe???i'm eventually going to upgrade most of my fuel management injectors pump and fpc. what do you guys think??? am i just gonna kill my car or what??????? please help

Defenatly NOT SAFE. Way too much air and not enough fuel, recipe for detonation. Even with 2 additonal injectors you will still hit fuel cut, because fuel cut is a function of air flow controled by the signal from the MAF. Upgrade the fuel system first, then turn up the boost. Also a 30" intercooler on a 14b? The 14b dosen't have sufficent air flow for that. If you put something that big on a turbo that small you are going to see so much pressure drop across the intercooler. So my advice is the 1. Upgrade your fuel system i.e. 550cc, afc or simialr to, larger fuel pump 2. Upgrade the turbo no suggestion there everyone has their own prefrence 3. Then the 30" intercooler. Those are my suggestions don't start playing mix and match or you will see no performace gains or worse do sever damage to your motor. Not trying to be mean I just saw someone do what you are thinking of doing and belive me it got ugly fast, like needing a new motor ugly. Hope this helps you out a bit.

yeah ok cool thanks for the info that helps .. walbro 255 lph pump good?? how about rx7 injectors?? i'm take your advice and do this first.

Walboro 255 is great, a little noisy though. As for injectors i'm partial to RC but people on here are always selling them so you could probally pick up a set cheap. Just check the classified section.

ok cool 550 cc or a little bigger injectors? cause i'm eventually thinking og putting a big 16g so would the 550's be ok ??

550cc's will be more than adequate for a big 16g. Just make sure you have an afc or somthing like that to use them correctly.

550's would work at first for a start on the 16g, but you can reach 100% duty cycle on them especially if you plan on running over 20 psi, so IMO I would just go straight to 650's. Not much if any price difference from the 550's, you won't have to worry about overrunning them, and they are still pretty easy to tune with. oh yea almost forgot and your gonna want something to control the fuel, like a SAFC and pocketlogger combo. Or if you really wanna go all out just get DSMLINK.

Good point, personally( and this is just my opinon) I ran 21 psi on 550's and never had a problem and thought they were a bit easier to tune with, just my opinion talking here.

Depending on how modded your car is going to be you will want the 650's. I maxed out my 550's at 21psi on my ported Big 16g. Running 660's with it and a pocketlogger and DSMLink turned out to be pretty good. Not really overworking the injectors at all. Also with running a 255 you will will want to get some sort of FPR ( Fuel Pressure Regulator). I found my car ran a lot better and was easier to tune with it. As for the FMIC with a 14b...I ran my 14b for a while with it and didn't see to significant of a pressure drop. Then again I wasn't running an overly large core either.
