2 quick FMIC mounting questions

1)I saw on an FMIC install page that to free up some room, the guy did away w/ the cooer part of the p/s lines by bypassing it. Then he cut the lower portion of the hood latch away.

I wanted to double check and see if the cooler is entirely necessary. I'm trying to get the thing mounted today.


2)I bought a bigger turbo outlet, but it doesn't come w/ a nipple for the boost controller. Should I have one welded in or where is another good place to tap into it?

You can just tap into the bov vacuum hose with a T connector
