2ga FMIC questions

Will a 12x24x3 fmic core fit behind the 2ga bumper? I've seen several 2gas with front mounts, but never noticed that there was one that big behind there.

Also, what are the advantages and/or disadvantages of having a 3" inlet and outlet on an intercooler this size. I would be using some sort of rubber adapter to increase 2.5" pipes to 3" at the intercooler, probably.

yes it will with trimming of the bumper support. i am currently putting mynes together, every things on except for my pipings. ill post up some pics for u as soon as i am done.

The size of just the core on my 2g was 8x24x3.5 and there was still room for more. Here's a pic to show that there was still room to go higher. Also about the 3" inlets. That's what will be on my 1g. It might not make a huge difference, but I think it would allow the air to spread out a bit more before it goes through the core, so it's all not being shoved through the bottom part of it.

And ya, here you can see my core was the same dimensions as yours, but 4" shorter. And you can see there's plenty of room for 4 more inches.

to add to jowmatthews' question, what's the largest FMIC that you can fit behind both the 1G and 2G bumpers?

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I've been looking at some pics of 2gas with fmics and I think I will keep my bumper for at least a while after the fmic is installed, since I now know it fits.

It's like a big silver grin that says "I'm going to eat your children alive" to people you're about to pass, kind of like Jaws in Bond.

ok heres mines it should be exactly like yours 24x12x3 measures 31 end to end / 3in in and out
