The rear portion of our 2 piece sunroof sliding cover hits the metal
rain trap that crosses the rear of the sunroof.
(take out the glass, at the rear is a metal piece that goes across and
held with just two screws).

Anyone ever have this problem ? I tried to shim the metal cross piece up,
I also tried shaving off some plastic from the top of the sliding cover.

Still not enough clearance.

What am I not doing right ?

We only got this car a few weeks ago, (1996 GSX ) . was not working when we got it.
Took it apart. Looks okay.

Would leave out the cross strap , but it traps water and directs it to either side
towards the drain tubes.
