2 5/8's Boost Gauge too big?

Well I picked up my boost gauge from a friend. He got it from his friend that works at a local shop and can get what ever he wants for either free, at cost or discount. So I picked up a Auto Meter Ultra Lite 2 5/8's Boost Gauge for $25 bucks. Brand new. That is all he had in stock. He didn't have 2 1/4. Oh well. It seems big. But it seems like it will be better to see. And I am thinking of places to mount it.

So any other guys running this size gauge? Or any gauges this size?

I remember those. How was the visibility? I havn't seen to many people use 2 5/8's That is why I asked.

with that mount i had and me being 6'1" they stuck up just barely over the top of the dash area there and i had completely clear view of what was going on. i will be re-producing that setup if not changing it ever so slightly. on the new setup the guages will all be rotated so that the guages should stay vertical at wot to make it even easier to see.

it'll also be removable this time around with a wiring and vacuum break so that i can remove it when the car is sitting this time around.
