98 GSX. LINK G4X. About 2000 miles on engine. (All new internals, except for the stock cams).
2.4 Stroker. Stock Cams. Mishimoto Rad, slim fans, shroud. FP68HTA turbo. Exhaust Mani wrapped. AC condenser on, and front mount 3.5".

Today I took the car on a highway, street mix driving for over 2 continuous hours, (In warmer weather, 81 F, longest drive I've had). It drove great, but did hold steady between 208-217. I haven't done ductwork yet, and plan to put an under tray on. On a second drive today, it did the same and no issues. Maybe this is the normal range for this car?

? Is it normal for my operating Temperature to be 212-215 F? (100-102 C) ? (75 F outside) Car Temp is usually around 186 F (87 C).
? Could the bigger engine have a hot avg temp?
? Anyone else have this situation?

Thank You

Being a 2.4 is not relevant. Your temps are normal. Higher when you're stopped, lower when you're not. Also try not to tailgate the car in front, because that will also raise your temps due to reduced airflow across the nose.

What I would look at is how fast do your temps increase when moving from a standstill or during harder acceleration. Thats usually an indicator of combustion gas heat entering the coolant, though your temps do not indicate this anecdotally.

Front mount, ac condenser and I'll assume the small air tunnel to the radiator is not blocked then this is what I've seen in the boards.

Depending on your radiator, cruise timing map, ethanol or gas and radiator ram air ducting you can lower it, I'm 202 on the highway at 70mph but it's not cheap.

That is great news. Thank you both. I can now relax. The temps took a while to get to 212F and it stayed there steady and only went up to about 217F after sitting in traffic. I made sure to rev the car up to at least 6k rpm a few times to see how the car could do. It hasn't been revved like that since the dyno in November. It held steady pretty good. The 2.4 Stroker is very torque heavy and fun.
I appreciate the help!
