Well I'm at another crossroad again. I'm broke, Jobless and unfortunately live too far from any place of employment to get a job. And My "new Motor" (was a used motor but was running f'n) just blew up because of Mitsubishi's failed attempt at an oil cooler. I mean seriously what the #### were they thinking? My first motor was a 7bolt... 94. Original motor. It lasted 115k before I changed the oil, tightened up the new filter like I have done on hundreds of motors, and be done with it. But no, that oil cooler comes loose and sprays oil everywhere and my car goes boom! Well I got a new motor before it got cold, out of a 91 automatic. I was going to change the OFH but figured it was good to last me a short while till I got some goodies for the OFH. Well yesterday it came loose and sprayed oil everywhere. I put new oil in it, pulled the filter and tightened that bolt up as much as I could with the crap tools I have. I know you can't tighten it down too much or you risk breaking it.... But I did as much as I could. Drove home today and the car was fine. Till I got about 2 miles from my house and BOOM! didn't know what the hell happened, popped the hood and where's the filter? Now I grabed the oil filter with both hands and twisted that thing till it stopped moving. So why does this shit always happen to me? All 3 of my last motors didn't blow up racing... or abusing the car, they blew up driving like grandpa!

So I know what cars are at U Pull It to grab a motor from... but there are no turbo models with engines. I know because I just pulled stuff out of a Auto AWD. So I'm needing to come up with some sort of bandaid motor to get me around for a few months so I can work and have a job and money for new motor. I'm originally going G4CS, with forged internals... But right now I don't need any of that speed or power. I just need daily drivability. Lately I ditched all my mods just to get daily drivablility. Stock exhaust, stock fuel, stock boost psi.... the whole nine yards. However I need to know what I can do to keep a G4CS from blowing up with spending the least ammount of cash. Will a completely stock G4CS hold up to the stock dsm turbo setup of 8psi? Is the Expo G54B (6bolt 2.4) Crank really OEM Forged, or are the rumors a fake?

I am assuming that my rod bearings are toast, main bearings are toast, and the crank is prob toast as well.... Hell prob even the rings. So....

What can I do that will be cheapest route just to get me on the road for a while. Knowing that very little boost will be applied... There is a 93 Elantra at U Pull It, And a 92 Expo... Is this a good setup?
