so you took the 4g64 and swapped a 4g67 head on it?

the 94 Galant GS came STOCK with a 4g64 DOHC rated at 160HP @6000rpm with 10:1cr and 2G head. The currect motor is running around 10.6:1 will the 4g67[g4cn] head along with a 1G IM/TB. I will get some WOT runs later, I have to address some sticky clutch pedal and broken motor mounts first.
 
One piece of info that will make your life much easier for tuning. A 95/96 turbo eclipse ECU is almost a direct swap for your 94 galant GS. All you need to do the swap is to swap the resistor pack and injectors from a turbo car. Then hook up the datalogger wires( they are on the 4th ECU plug that your car doesn't have)

If you wanted to keep your ECU, I'd bet you money you have an EPROM in there, mine was and I didn't know what I had. The big problem was that the datalogger didn't seem to want to work with the 94gs. It wasn't quite OBD1 or 2. Good luck buddy looks like you are doing well with your project.

I haven't check to see if my ecu is eprom but I do have an eprom ecu from a RVR which will plug and play into the harness. Plus I have EDM NA bin file and Evo 3 bin file to play around with.

So what happen to your eprom ecu from the GS?

You can log the GS ECU by either purchasing Evoscan datalogging cable and use Evoscan 'Hybrid' OBD option/mode or MMCD. I know the 2G logger won't work for the GS because the pinout on the DLC is different. Pin1 is data out to the logger(Evoscan or MMCD), Pins4/5 are ground, Pin16 is power, Pin 7 is grounded to Pin 4 or 5 to allow the Ecu to sent information to the logger.
 
I kept it around for a while, then I pitched it. I wish I hadn't now. I burn chips for 1gs. If you've found a good way to log your ECU, then I'd tell you to keep it forever.
 
Yea, the DTC codes are like the 1Gs so I have two circuits build already: a passive and active one, a Palm OS emulator, and the MMCD file. Just need a serial to usb adapter and OBDII connector.
