1st tune with FP3065, FP2x, & AEM EMS

It's normal for the car to crank over for a few seconds before it starts. The car should idle like stock with FP2X's. Bring it over to Pina and have Andre take a look at the cam timing just to be safe.

I had Andre freshen up my head, install dual springs, 3G lifters, and new cams. Either Andre or Ted was the one who set it in the 1st place. They both know what they're doing, and thats why I originally said there should not be a prob with it. (but every one is human, so maybe)

It was this thread with people saying "Check your timing" ..that started making me 2nd guess it. I never felt that the car Ides bad. I think it does just fine. It does not stutter, stall, or have problems staying at a set RPM. I can tell it has cams, but I think anyone who knows DSMs would be able to tell that. Maybe I was too overly excited when I 1st posted. :D That along with the new EMS... things are just different.

I'll ask to have the timing double checked for safety.
(Andre will ask why... I'll say cause the Tooners got me worried, and He'll laugh ROFL )

I took off the timing belt cover and took a quick glance at the gears. I tried to do a quickie check... trying what Caithness is talking about, but I dont quite understand it. I'll have to research it when I have more time.... I thought by now I'd have time to play, but other things keep comming up. I'm gonna be sure to make time for the car this weekend. SUMMER WEATHER IS STARTING TO SHOW; I CANT MISS THAT!

EDIT: If you have a Laptop you probably wont hear the muffler tone.

I took a listen to the video & I too think your timing marks are probably fine. That sounds about right, when my 1x's were off a tooth they were much lumpier then that, though not quite as lumpy as those bad ass sounding BC 280's in the posted link OMG
 
Very interested in seeing your progress since have similar setup. Well have a 2.4 so would expect even better numbers. The mustang dynos read lower than dynojets by 10%or so but they can be set to read like a dynojet. So if it wasn't set to read higher you might even have around 300whp at 10psi. I put a 1bar spring in my tial and just didn't go full throttle or take the rpm up that high for break in. I also didn't break in new engine with small turbo ,pain in the butt. I bought FPs oil filter and take the oil from the head .I ported my oil relief hole when did the balance shaft delete mod on my 2.4. Oil pressure is fine. I also don't use that hokey sandwich thing on the filter that messes up. I use old style filter housing.
I have to say that at 15psi right now my car is also pretty darn fast. I have had it up to 20psi or so and it was smoking fast can only wonder what 25 or 30 or more would feel like ,these 3065s are scary beasts! For street use don't think trust myself with much more than 20psi.
Anyway glad you figured out the oil pressure problem and look forward to following your dyno adventures. Prepare to be amazed and possibly scared once you take that turbo past 20psi.
And I have pretty smooth idle at 1000 with my crower stage 3s but again its a 2.4 and you can run a bigger cam in a 2.4 than a 2.0. I haven't tried idling it down to get some lope but possibly will for something to do. Loping talons are kind of neat!
