Below is a part of the log I took today, my first :), so is there a way you can tell if you are getting knock from how your timing is reading? Thanks guys, here is some of the info.

#1 make sure you are fully opening the throttle plate at wot.
#2 Just log o2 1st bank, rpm, timing.
#3 Make a run at wot in 3rd gear from 2500-7K...no shifting
#4 repost

TPS is nice too sometimes, especially when your loging slightly before you hit boost. You can tell by the timing, but it's still nice to see the TPS sometimes if there are not already too many parameters.

Here is a new log, this is an automatic, not sure if that is needed to be known, but thanks guys!

Any input? Is the drop in the timing because it is an automatic and it must go neg. to shift or something?

impossible to read that log and determine anything.......you MUST stay in the same gear.....if it is an automatic, throw it into drive 3.......start off normal until it shifts into 3rd, start the log WOT till redline......that is the only way you will get any results

Okay thanks that is what I needed to know, what should I be looking for when I look at the log? As far as how should the timing be re-acting and what not. thanks again!

I'm not sure what you mean by reacting(which is not hyphenated by the way), but since you don't have a wideband, use your 02's as a start of how the tune is and then tune for knock. Look for pulled timing. Your 02's look good :thumb:

With the onset of boost, your timing should drop from about 30+ degrees (depending on your RPMs) to about 10 degrees or so, like it's doing, and keep advancing. You'll have to draw your own conclusions about if you want less advance and more boost or moderate boost and more advance. That is another discussion in it's self.

The majority of people like to see more advance at WOT. Just keep an eye on your timing curve and you'll be good.
