1st gen head on 2nd gen, help me out on turbo coolant lines.

I have everything installed on my 2nd gen except the turbo coolant feed and return. I don't have a 1st gen manual and i am having trouble figuring out where the my turbo feed and return attach...

I know on RRE it says to plug the previous coolant feed in the block, it just doesn't tell you where the connect with the 1st gen setup.
So...anyone mind telling me where the go. TIA.

c'mon guys, no one knows where the turbo coolant feeds from on a 1st gen head, and where the return goes back to?

I'd like to finish this thing up after work today.

there is a tube that runs from the water pump around the block to the fire wall for the heater core. The return line is on the bottom of that pipe about half way across the block. look for the threaded fitting. any more questions ask. i only work on 1gs

Thanks, where does it feed from on the 1st gen head, i am guessing the t-stat housing?

I am going to see if i can find what you speak of, it should be there since i had to use the 1st gen coolant pipe.

SHIAAAAT, i think the coolant pipe i was sent was for a non-turbo, it's smooth from the water pump to the rad. hose / heater hose split.


Would it hurt to run the evoIII 16g with no water.... ( i am only half serious...)

Its a water cooled turbo, not doing that will kill the turbo.
