I read all the "grinding" post on here, but none really solve my problem. I just bought a 1990 Eagle TSi, TODAY. Bored 30 over, all new internals, new head, new turbo, Greddy Type-S blow off valve, 12-14 psi of boost, VR4 fuel pump, lowered 2 inches, 17" rims, and a brand new clutch. At a stop or driving slow and easy it shifts fine, but getting on it a lil bit going from 1st to second gear grinds, even louder/worse from 3rd to 2nd downshift. I read the post about adjusting the clutch rod under the dash. Should I attempt that even though I have a new clutch, or should I try a new gear oil?

It sounds like you are having typical syncro trouble. Try Pennzoil Syncromesh 85/90 first. Buy a Chiltons before any thing else. Your gonna need it. If it still grinds I would start looking for a tranny shop, cause its gonna need some syncros. Droppin the tranny isnt that hard, I got mine out with out air tools in 2.5 hours. I probably coulda done it faster if I wasnt fartin around. :p
