total noob question, yes i searched but didn't find much other then
"Put the car into 2nd, and quickly slam it into 1st before the transmission shaft has a chance to speed up. This may cause loud and embarassing grinding noises if you are unlucky. This is normal."
we went and test drove a 90 TSI AWD and it was grinding going into first (from N or 2nd, rolling or still.) but it went in to gear fine other then the grinding noise...
my brother was driving he always grinds gears
it did grind from first to second once i but i think that that was because of the sh**ty driver...
what is this caused by typically? poor design or something wrong with the clutch/trans?
also whats the average cost of a windshield for a 1g?
