1st and 2nd gear grind

The grind only happens when the car has not been drove for a day and sits. I did notice some slop in the shifter and it has solid base busings and solid cable bushings. The grind into first only happens when the car is rolling with the clutch all the way in coming to a stop. This is on a 1g tsi awd.

It sounds like the sincros in the transmission are not slowing things down enough for it to shift. It will most likely need a rebuild, more then just changing sincros out.

That is what I was thinking and I guess I will save up and have it built.
