1ga/1gb Front lip? Is there such a thing?

I emailed him and all he told me was that someone made it for him and he will not make anymore.

awhile back, possibly 2 years ago, someone on here was making them and selling them. I was lucky and got a hold of one, although its still packed away waiting for my car to be done. I beleive the guy that was making them decided to stop because there wasnt enough interest in them.

That is the mazda speed lip that is custom fit to the 1g bumper, do a search for mazda lip and you should see some stuff pop up. It use to be a pretty popular addition but I'm not sure if the lip is made anymore.

Also the lip on the black car is simply a flat piece of ABS and isn't that hard to fabricate if you have access to a sheet of ABS and some time.

What I really want is just a simple carbon fiber splitter, but I don't trust those universal kits.

Well, as far as a 1ga lip goes, these pics were up a loooooong time ago. Aparently from a DSM exported to Japan. Definitely not my car, but hot none the less.

Also, I'm pretty sure this lip is a Tsunami lip for an early Integra, and the fender flares are some universal ones.

Sorry for a reviving a topic that won't die, but back to the whole 1ga lip topic.

I've read in other threads (either here or DSMTalk) about people suggesting the stock 90' GS-T lip as one that could be used on 1Ga's. Does anyone have a pic, or know someone using that lip? The 91' style bumper seems too rounded to accomodate that lip. When people suggest using that lip, are they recommending to change bumpers?

i remember a whileee back, that someone on here made a lip out of some home depot material...i believe it was some type of rubber or hardened plastic. when i ran into it, i believe i was looking for lips for a 2g and so happened to run into that post. try looking for keywords "lip" or "front lip" in advanced search under appearance interior/exterior.....

Yeah, I saw that thread too, and would rather leave my front end alone, then do a hack job like that.

try looking for keywords "lip" or "front lip" in advanced search under appearance interior/exterior.....

Yeah, I've seen both the JAPAN Talon in the link above before too, and even searched into that "Tsunami Integra lip" and can't find anything that remotely looks similar to the one on that car.

Like I mentioned before, some people have suggested using the "stock" lip found on 90' Eclipse GS-T's, like the one I posted below. (stole the picture from cardomain, I apologize to the owner).

But to me it doesn't seem like it will fit 91' Talon and Eclipses due to the difference in shape. The 91' seems more rounded and flared out. Not sure how it would even look, if it did mount to a 91' style bumper.

been there and one that... but i think mine looked alittle bit better, i used the mile high talon way of doing it... i have since taken it off... but heres a pic

i think if it was put on a 1ga eclipse bumper THE RIGHT WAY with the bolts painted black it might look OK>

but , your best best is ###### finding a close match lip, and custom fit it.

Ew whats up with the flat plastic and rain gutter lips?

Anyways get a a tape meaure, find some boxy front end cars like ours and buy a lip for that car. Then mod the lip to fit a 1G thats pretty much what you need to do, this is what im going to do also..
