1g wire harness-1990 to 1992

So I was wondering if there was any difference between a 1990 wire harness v.s a 1992.
I tried doing a 2g injector clip swap and I messed up harness I'm sure because now it won't start. I've come across a 1990 and was w8ondering if it will fit my 92 tsi and whether it has to be a awd or if it wouldn't matter? Thanks for taking a look at my post and any help would help
