1g vs 2g downpipe?

What are the major differences between a 1g and 2g downpipe? I have a chance to buy a 3" dp + testpipe(Archer Racing), but its for a 2g awd and I have a 1g awd. Will there be issues fitting it? If its just the hangers, I can fab new ones and have them welded in the right location. I would be bolting it to a tubular O2 housing and having a 3" catback exhaust fabbed up to complete the package. Thanks in advanced for any input!

I think the amount of fabrication you will have to do to make this fit on a 1G will make it pointless. I've never heard of anyone trying to do this. Buy a downpipe for a 1G AWD car, and you will save alot of money.

What has to be different? I figure its probably just the hangers, but I'm not sure since Ive never messed w a 2g dp.

I am not 100% sure, but I think that there are more differences than just the hanger positions. For one thing, the exhaust on the rear side is on the opposite side. So you will probably end up cutting apart the exhaust and re-welding it together so it will fit your 1G. Like I said before, this is not going to be worth your time.

If the downpipe isn't made for a 1g AWD car, chances are it won't fit without some kind of expensive fabrication. I can't tell if it will fit just by the picture. Take measurements of your own downpipe and compare them to it.
