1g TB with 2g two vacuum hose idle issues

After I installed a 1g TB rebuilt, I got an idle surge and I set everything with the ohm meter. I was wonder was it the way I installed the vacuum hoses. The TB my 2g gst came stock with had only two vacuum hoses not three. I know it isn't the cable because I gave it enough slack. When it isn't in gear the idle is around 2-3k and when I put it in gear it would go down if I half clutch it or something.

sounds like an air leak. the reason the idle is going down when you "half clutch it" is because the clutch is dragging on the flywheel. probably wouldnt recommend too much of that if you value your friction material....

recheck your hoses and maybe replace the throttle body gasket. maybe you didnt put it on right and i wouldnt re-use that gasket more than once. good luck

I have two new gaskets, everything on the TB is new and The hoses are new also. I played with it earlier, I think the throttle plate is sticking.

Did you set the idle switch, or just leave it as it came?

I'm using the 2g TPS. I tried to play with the closed throttle switch yesterday, it made some difference than went right back to a bad idle.

It was working perfect before I took it out and used it again.

I'm not sure if any other vacuum lines are affected this way, but does your FPR vacuum line see vacuum? There are only certain ports on the throttle body that meter from after the throttle plate (i.e. inside the intake manifold). I'm not sure if that would cause a high idle, but just something that popped into my head.

I could check. I plan on sending the TB back to have the plate fixed because I did get the idle down but once I touch the gas pedel, its back to worse. I was also thinking of the vacuum lines to the TB, I thought I had to "T" one off since I have the EGR valve still which could be causing this also.
