was doing some reading and came to a bump in the road i cant seem to pass. I was reading and willing to spend the 250 for a ported 63mm 1G TB, but would it be more worth my money to get an aftermarket TB that's already a 60mm or higher? My plans are to not pass 15 lbs of boost on a stock system no major mods at all. With that said i know most are going to jump right on the 1g but this is a 2G GSX and trying to figure out what would be the best route.

Even if you buy a rebuilt 1g ported TB..It is still worth it...

Snowborder714 sells rebuilt TB's..I'm not sure if he ports them, but I'm sure your could ask..There bead blasted and rebuilt...

As far as going aftermarket for 300$ on a 65+mm TB..Unless you are making huge power, stock performance parts are the best bang for the buck...

Stock 1g 60mm TB will meet more than 90% of HP/air flow needs of the dsm community.

Readily available, cheap, easy to rebuild, oem fitment, oem sensors, its a win in my book.

edit:
since you have a 2g and you said you are not boosting more than 15 psi, and according to you profile it is a t-25, you can easily keep the stock 2g TB and be fine. It might even be better for you, as far as fitment goes.

Lucas English (can't find the link right now, of course) picked up something like 12whp, going from a 2g TB to a 1g TB with the intake manifold (2g intake manifold) ported to match the TB.

I book marked a lot on the 1G TB and i see no issues with using a dremil and a 1G TB gasket to match the ports. If my best bet is a 1G TB then i would have no issues converting. With what i have setup stock and all should i go with the 60mm or try and get a 63mm?

The extra 3mm will not net you any difference, especially with your setup and current boost level. I would even (possibly) venture to guess the 1g upgrade wouldn't net you much difference either. But if you want to upgrade, just go with a stock rebuilt 1g throttle body and port the intake manifold to match.

Cant find any 1G TBs!!! Help!! websites?

That last link i emailed that guy see if he has any in stock. I was hoping to get one already rebuilt so i dont waste the money on one and rebuild it months later,

Update: Ordered a freshly rebuilt throttle body from Steve Monroe owner of throttlebodys.com and i shall keep you updated on how that product is!

Sorry. Yea the guy was extremely helpful and made sure everything worked 100%. I ran into a small issue on my own accord but he was standing by waiting to send me another encase it was the throttle body. I would trust him 110%, and am definitely going to buy more from him. It was here within 2 days and the core check was here with 3 days of sending off my core.
