I rebuilt a 91 60mm 1g Throttle body to replace my 2g TB

i half shaft the throttle blade shaft (in picture thats the front of the TB)

i set the TPS to .63 and adjusted the ISC to 30 and learned idle to 140

but now when and driving if i gently let of the throttle it will not go to idle right, it will go to like .73v(tps) and like 1500 RPMS's then slowly goes down to like a 900 RPM idle

but if i give it like a quick 3k rev or something then it will idle just fine at about 750

i removed tore apart the TB and reinstalled 3 times its still doing the same thing

any ideas?

throttle cable too tight, and when car heats up it gets stuck open, verify with TPS in logs. happened to me, and quick revs would either raise it more, or bring it back to 0 in TPS making it idle normal.

How did you do your vac lines

i just posted this, are my vac lines correct?

just wanted to contribute some better pics, and also check to see that i properly routed the vacuum lines correctly... There were never any clear pics for early 2gs with 1g swap with lines all in tact, so hope this helps others in the future..

per RRE's directions..

One at a time, remove the old short vacuum lines and replace them with longer ones.

If you are still running with your EGR, the following will be necessary for proper EGR
It's simple, cap off the E line as well as the angled line (marked A1 or something). Then with a T, split the P line to go to where P and E used to go.

In effect drive the E line, (EGR) with the source from P.

The problem is that the 1G EGR and the 2G EGR are sourced differently inside the throttle body. The 2G EGR has vacuum at idle but the 1G does not.

The angled port is actually A2

per their directions everything is straight forward, but they fail to tell you where that last A1 port is suppose to go? Well there was only 1 other port open so it was process of elimination, and hope everything is correct.

Been running like this for 2 weeks now with no ill effects, at least that I notice.

i see, ill check the throttle cable really quick and losen it

min are just like hoe it came off the 2g tb except the last one thats off to a angle is capped should i change it to how yours is?

Edit: i just adjusted the cable and it did not change anything :/

i wonder if it being half shaft had a effect on it?

I question that as well, not too long ago I had to replace my throttle body on my Talon its a 95. It was one of those ones from throttlebody.com and I purchased the one with the half shaft mod as well. And it has been acting weird since.. idle doesnt sit as high as yours but it jerks hard when i try to stay coast in first gear or even in other gears while cruising.. I am wondering if it has something to do with the half shaft mod and maybe that mod is only a good mod if its for just using on the track or something. I dont know all i know is it is very annoying,,,,:cry::notgood:

hmm it should not cause anything like that,

the only thing i would think mine would cause is that the tb blade is not 100% centered(even thought i made sure it function properly before i put it on) on the shaft and the slightest movement side to side is causing ti to get stuck open just a little

i ported like 50+ throttle bodies for LS1's and i always did the half shaft and never once had a problem so i am a little confused LOL
