1G Talon or 2G Eclipse

well i just bought a 90 talon tsi awd a week ago, and it is already having problems (clutch, boost leaks, fluid leaks). and you can still find 1g's with decent mileage on them......mine has 80,000 miles on it and i paid 2100 for it. so just think of gas prices and repairs if you got the extra money for that then get the awd.

reliability = 2GNT (in part because the car is just newer)
speed = 1G turbo

my 1G was a maintainance nightmare... every week some kind of part went bad. I barely got to drive it. I absolutely do not regret going the 2GNT route and would avoid 1G's of any kind... though I'd still get a 2G turbo if the price was right.

That must of have been one hell of a 1g . I paid 300 for mines and had it for 4 years. The only thing that I replaced was the slave cylinder. Part of it was my fault!

If you are looking for performance go with the 1g awd, if you want show then go with the 2g N/T. But your name is 97 gs-t, so if you have one of them then save your money and upgrade the 97 gst.

If your looking for show and go with the 2g. I personally love the 2g bodies thats why i got a 2nd gen dsm and they are fast too. So personally i would go with the 2nd gen.

If I could get a car with less miles than the other and be years newer... for the same price? I would. Plus, if the next day you slam your car into a tree and you happened to go with the 2g, it'd be worth more, so you'd get more (assuming insurance follows through).
