Ok so I'm in the process of piecing together my auto-x project and I've decided I want to retain the stock smic and run meth with the necessary hard pipes etc but what I want to know is what meth kit will fit my car best? I tryed researching but I didn't really find what I was looking for. My mods in the end will be:

14B w/7cm housing
Ported Evo III mani
Victory performance o2 dump
custom 3" catless tbe
hard upper and lower intercooler pipes, turbo outlet, bigger tb elbow etc.
stock smic(I may get the inlet and outlet made bigger)
walbro 190 fuel pump
Evo injectors
EcmLink with SD etc
FP2's
act2600 clutch
hard intake pipe
1G bov

You get the point, I'm sure there is more but I don't feel like naming everything. I want to know how much boost I'll be able to run safely with the 14b and meth, I'll eventually be switching to the FP68HTA but it won't be for awhile.

I would suggest a devils own kit, or an aem kit. Both of those will do well. I would suggest getting a supra smic, that will work much better for your setup and for when you switch to the 68HTA.

I would love to run a supra smic but all I've heard is nothing but bad things about how hard the install is and how many problems people run into with them. I would rather try tracking down a dejon smic upgrade, or a bullseye one.

The DVC-30 looks pretty legit and self explanatory, I'm just wondering if I'll have to run different nozzles than the ones provided with the kit.

I'm running the 150psi Cooling Mist setup the stock SMIC, on an EVO III 16g at 24psi. DSMLink shows no knock at all during a pull. Here is the kit I picked up.

I did add an angled nozzle and a clogged nozzle detector to the purchase. Don't even waste your money on an angled nozzle. I ended up not even installing mine because of it's size. It takes up about 50% of the area inside the UICP. You might as well stuff a tennis ball in there.

Thanks for the advice Nate, what size injectors should I go with? 1000's? How do you tune to compensate for the meth? One more, do you have a link to a good install page for a kit so I can get an idea?

Injector size is up to your goals and tuning equipment. If you are running ECMLink, go as big as you want. With a SAFC, you're pretty much capped at 650cc injectors. As for the tuning, MeOH doesn't give you any more power out of the box, but allows you to run a more aggressive tune than you could with 93 octane. For example, you'll be able to boost more before you start knocking, run a leaner AFR and squeeze a couple more degrees of timing out. You just have to be careful that you don't run out in the middle of a pull.

The instructions for the CoolingMist products can be found on their website. Here are the ones for the kit I bought.

I have the Alkycontrol progressive kit and have had nothing but good experiences with it and with the company. Although I bought the kit used from a member here and not from Alkycontrol, the help and support I received from Julio Don at Alkycontrol has far exceeded my expectations. He has not hesistated to return my emails in a propmt, detailed manner even knowing that I purchased the system used. I highly recommend their kit. Check out their website and read up on thier product specifications and features before making your final decision on a kit to purchase. I think you'll find their kit has some very nice features. I really like the ability to very easily set the turn on point, initial flow and ramp rate on their progressive controller all from within the cab while driving using only my fingers. No tools needed!

Good luck with whatever kit you decide to purchase. For me, the addition of a meth injection kit has allowed me to run more timing and up to 25 psi boost on 91 octane where previously I was only able to boost to 18 psi before excessive knock set in.

Yay this gives me more hope coming from someone who lives in CA, I'll check that out. I looked into the AEM one, looked pretty legit. Infact, all these kits have looked really nice so I have a feeling its going to be hard choosing one LOL.
